Ethical principles of publishing The publication ethics and policy of the scientific journal REFLECTIONS – Compendium of theory and business practice is based on the international principles of publishing and compliance with the ethical principles and best practices of COPE, which are placed on this type of scientific contributions, while maintaining their highest quality. The active participation of all parties making up the journal – authors, reviewers, editorial and technical board of the journal – contributes to the observance of ethical principles. Articles published in the scientific journal REFLECTIONS – Compendium of theory and business practice (hereinafter referred to as REFLECTIONS journal) are focused on scientific, professional and discussion contributions and analytical studies in the field of economic theory, economic policy, management of public administration organizations, education, environmental management, circular economy, organizational culture, business management, marketing, information systems and technologies in management, banking, mathematical modeling and statistical methods, cross-sectional and sectoral economies, as well as regional and social development in the domestic and international environment.
Duties of the editor-in-chief of the magazine, the Editorial Board and the Technical Board The editorial board of the REFLECTIONS journal is responsible for deciding the publication selection of the submitted contributions in compliance with applicable legal regulations, which are in particular in accordance with the requirements of ethics, copyright infringement and plagiarism. All submitted articles are evaluated in a double-blind peer-review manner (the identity of authors and reviewers is mutually anonymous) from the point of view of scientific content, topicality, correct citation, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political views of the authors. Members of the Editorial Board and Technical Board of REFLECTIONS journal may not disclose any information about the submitted manuscript to anyone other than the responsible author and reviewers. Unpublished materials contained in manuscripts may not be used in the editor’s own research without the express written permission of the author. Authors will be informed of rejected manuscripts by the Editorial Board with the reasons for non-acceptance.
Obligations of the author/authors 1. The author submits an original article to the editor-in-chief of REFLECTIONS journal and may not simultaneously submit this contribution for another publication. Parallel submission of the same manuscript to more than one journal or publication is unethical and unacceptable.2. The submitted article contains a complete list of used information sources (used literature) and complies with citation standards.3. Any forms of plagiarism must not be present in the contribution.4. Research results are authentic and presented without manipulation. Fraudulent data and the knowing presentation of inaccurate information are unacceptable.5. The submitted research results were obtained within the framework of scientific principles and relevant legal regulations.6. The submitted paper contains a complete list of authors who contributed to the presented research (paper). All those who significantly contributed to the conception, implementation, or interpretation of the submitted contribution are listed as co-authors. Fulfillment is ensured by the responsible author. Additional authors are not acceptable.7. The author(s) of the contribution bears (bear) full responsibility for the submitted contribution. 8. In the contribution, if relevant, the sources of financial support are disclosed, or acknowledgment is given at the end.9. If the author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in the submitted, or already published contribution, it is his duty to immediately inform the editorial board of the journal and to cooperate with him on the withdrawal of the work or the publication of a correction.10. Any fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate information provided in a post constitutes unethical behavior and is unacceptable.11. If the contribution has been accepted for publication after the review process, the copyrights relating to the published contribution are transferred to the publisher. Duties of reviewers 1. The reviewer is a member of the Editorial Board and communicates with the editor-in-chief of REFLECTIONS journal and participates in editorial decisions.2. Through the Editorial Board, the reviewer helps the author to improve the submitted manuscript with his opinion.3. Due to the maximum objectivity of the assessment of the expertise of the article, the reviewers are selected according to the scientific focus and cooperate cooperatively with the editor-in-chief of REFLECTIONS journal in order to meet the deadlines.4. The reviewer always expresses his opinion only with relevant supporting arguments.5. Reviewers do not have a conflict of interest with the reviewed contributions.6. Each submitted contribution is treated as a confidential document and the review process is kept confidential. The content of the contributions must not be published by the reviewer or otherwise provided to a third party.7. The review opinion is constructive and neutral, without any hostile, offensive, unfair or unnecessarily defamatory comments.8. The reviewer will alert the editors to any substantial similarity or overlap between other contributions and other published data if they have personal knowledge of them and they are not cited.
